Be watchful... vehicle description is in the main post with all other information.The Pendleton County Assessor’s Office will begin its state-mandated property assessment process starting at the Highland County line. Appraisers will travel through the Town of Franklin, all Franklin area properties, and all Upper Tract areas, concluding this fall at the Grant County line.
During this process, county appraisers will visit every parcel within these areas to verify new construction and the removal of buildings, as required by West Virginia State Code §11-1C-9 for taxation purposes.
Appraisers Ryan Maloy and Patricia Ruddle will be operating a silver 2024 Ford Ranger clearly marked with “Assessor’s Office” signage on both side doors. Residents are respectfully asked to be courteous and cooperative with these county employees as they carry out their official duties on behalf of Pendleton County and its citizens.
If your property is secured by a locked gate, please contact the Assessor’s Office to schedule an appointment so access may be granted. Residents are also encouraged to notify elderly family members that an appraiser may be visiting their property.
