Pendleton Senior & Family Services, Inc. offers home delivered meals for area seniors and disabled community members. These individuals and their loved ones can rest easy knowing that they have access to home delivered meals that are both delicious and nutritious. This is especially important for those who are unable to leave their homes due to physical limitations. PSFSI goes above and beyond in its efforts to provide seniors with a diverse range of meal options that are available throughout all of Pendleton County in West Virginia. But it’s not just about making sure seniors have access to regular meals. These meals are carefully prepared to ensure that they provide all of the essential nutrients that seniors need to stay healthy and vibrant. Frozen meals are provided during off days and holidays to ensure no meal is missed. This program is truly a godsend for seniors and disabled community members looking to maintain their well-being and independence. By taking advantage of this service, they can worry less and enjoy delicious home-cooked meals that are delivered right to their doorstep. Home delivered meals are an option for a qualified individual in place of a meal provided at a congregate nutrition site. Meals are delivered between the hours of 11:00am and 2:00pm. If you are age 60+, homebound (unable to leave your house under normal circumstances to participate in congregate meals) and have great difficulty preparing a meal for yourself, you may qualify for the program. Home delivered meals help to support nutritional needs when health is compromised. It is also beneficial as it serves a daily safety check as well.
At this time, not all areas of the county are able to be served due to funding constraints. The Home Delivered Meals are currently delivered within a 10-mile radius from both the Franklin Site and the North Fork Site in Pendleton County. Delivery from our Franklin site is offered on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Delivery from our North Fork site is offered on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Frozen meals are available if you desire on the days off and major holidays.
