Pendleton Senior & Family Services, Inc. is a compassionate and caring organization that recognizes the unique challenges that seniors and disabled community members face regarding medical transportation. We value the health and well-being of our community members, which is why we provide donation-based transportation services. Your donations help to offset vehicle maintenance costs that we incur. We understand that it can be challenging to navigate your health when you do not have reliable transportation, which is why we seek to help the residents of Pendleton County. Our services cover a 50-mile radius of our Franklin Senior Center to help you get to medical appointments locally as well as in Elkins, Moorefield, Petersburg, and Harrisonburg. You can rest easy knowing that you have a reliable and safe mode of transportation to get to essential medical appointments.

Transportation assistance is available for eligible seniors who no longer drive or have no one to assist them with transportation for medical related appointments. We also offer a handicap-accessible van for those clients that need assisted transportation.
When your loved one receives in-home care outside of a nursing home or institutional setting, it is important to remember that he or she still requires reliable transportation to visit the doctor and other essential medical appointments.

Non-emergency medical transportation is available Monday through Friday. Seniors are asked to call at least 48 to 72 hours prior to the need for transportation to get on the schedule.
